Baby Bump

I haven't taken or posted too many pics with my "baby bump" (in keeping with my last pregnancy as well), but this one has been requested. This is me, technically I guess that would be "us", at 36.5 weeks along.

Grand Opening

The new Jackson County Library Complex opened last weekend in the historic courthouse, so I finally got over there today. Gorgeous! Not to mention, they had the newest James Patterson book that I have been wanting to read. Yay!

What else would I be doing at 2:30 AM on a school night?

Massive storms ripped through Western NC on Wednesday night, and the aftermath is reminiscent of hurricanes down east. We are going on 36 hours with no power. At this point, I am thankful that Landon hasn't come yet because this would be way crazier with a newborn. But, of course, my runaway brain is up in the middle of the night and there's no mindless dribble to turn to tonight. Hoping a book will calm my crazy head... And my flashlight stays lit!

Special Baby Gift

We received this special piggy bank today from a co-worker and parent of a child in my class this year. The decorations on the bank are in the Cherokee Syllabary. What a beautiful way to symbolize our new life here!
